Exercise Demos - Arms

Incline Dumbbell Curls

The incline dumbbell curls are a superb choice for anyone who wants to intensely train the biceps. By taking the arms to a pre-stretched position you make them work harder to complete the curl. This is an advanced movement, but a great choice for anyone that really wants to hit the arms hard. Key points to get the most from this movement, keep the elbow back and the upper arm facing directly down to the floor. As you get tired you will feel that you want to bring the upper arm forward, which allows the front shoulder to get involved, thus taking the work off the biceps. Resist the temptation, and concentrate on isolating the biceps. The movement can be completed both arms together or one arm at a time. As with all movements, maintain a sound abdominal position by focussing on drawing the abs down into the bench.
