Incline Dumbbell Press
The incline dumbbell press is a superb exercise for strength and thickness in your upper chest. Key points to consider, keep your abs drawn in and tight to allow for maximum chest involvement and to minimise and lower back arching (this detracts from the intensity of the exercise). Concentrate on a good deep stretch with the dumbbells, then a smooth press to the top of the movement.
CAUTION – IF YOU HAVE A HISTORY OF SHOULDER PROBLEMS, BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS WHEN PERFORMING DUMBBELL PRESSES. CONSIDER USING FIXED MACHINES OR DO NOT LOWER THE DUMBBELL AS LOW, TAKE YOUR TIME AND FEEL CONFIDENT WITH THE MOVEMENT BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR WEIGHTS HIGHER.
