Exercise Demos - Abdominals
Roman Chair Hip Flexion
This movement targets the hip flexors, situated in the lower abdomen. They can also be done lying on the floor, or hanging from the chin up bar. Key points to remember; keep you abs pulled in tight throughout the movement, and focus on squeezing and crunching as you pull your knees into your chest, rounding your lumbar spine. Exhale as you pull your knees in to allow for the best contraction. Return to the start position slowly and under control so you get the benefit of both phases of the exercise.
