Exercise Demos - Legs
Power Squat
The machine power squat is an advanced compound exercise that works the whole lower body, plus the back and trapezius muscles. It is the final step before moving to the more advanced free weight squats. Key points to remember, you must maintain a neutral spine position at all times. This exercise can help back problems, and help promote good posture, if done correctly. If done with bad form, it can damage the back and lead to serious problems. Lower the weight slowly and under control, until you reach at least a 90 degree angle at the knee joint. Any deeper means a more intense exercise, but it also means potentially more danger, so be cautious.
